A quick guide to get you started in The Trading Game

🎯Your Objective

Work with your team to build the strongest nation by producing resources, constructing buildings, and trading strategically with other teams and the World Bank.

🌍Nation Types

Each team represents a nation with unique starting resources:

🌾 Nation 1 - Food

Starts with abundant food resources. Focus on farming.

⛏️ Nation 2 - Raw Materials

Rich in raw materials. Master mining operations.

⚡ Nation 3 - Electrical

Specializes in electrical goods and technology.

🏥 Nation 4 - Medical

Expertise in medical goods and healthcare.

🏭Production & Buildings

How to Produce Resources:

  • Click "Request Challenge" on any building you've constructed
  • A physical challenge (push-ups, burpees, etc.) will be assigned by the Banker
  • Complete the challenge within 10 minutes to earn resources
  • Buildings multiply your resource production!

Building Types:

  • 🌾 Farm: Produces food (2x bonus)
  • ⛏️ Mine: Produces raw materials (2x bonus)
  • 🏭 Factory: Produces electrical goods (2x bonus)
  • 🏥 Hospital: Produces medical goods (2x bonus)
  • 🎓 School: Allows multiple teammates to have challenges simultaneously
  • 🍽️ Restaurant: Luxury building with extra bonuses
💡 Pro Tip: Build a School early! It lets your whole team do challenges at the same time, dramatically increasing production speed.

📋Key Rules

  • Challenge Timer: You have 10 minutes of active game time to complete each challenge
  • One at a Time: Without a School, only one teammate can have an active challenge at once
  • Trading: Trade resources with other nations or buy/sell from the World Bank
  • Building Costs: Each building requires specific resources - check before building
  • Game Pauses: When the host pauses, challenge timers freeze (you don't lose time!)
  • Teamwork: Coordinate with your teammates - share the workload strategically

First Steps:

  • Check your starting resources in the Resources card
  • Look at what buildings you can afford
  • Request a challenge from an existing building to produce more resources
  • Build a School as soon as possible to speed up team production
  • Trade with other teams to get resources you need
  • Keep an eye on the World Bank prices for good deals
